Time Sized
by Leonardo Pierro

The sense of instability that pervades the works, summarizes the spirit of the time: the episodes of present and past history, transferred in form and / or artifact. The objects embody the symbolic exchange of commodification, of consumer goods, in the most banal and ironic aspects. The icons of history are imprinted with paint on coffee bags, emulating the wealth generated by rags, or rather by the standardized containers used for the coffee trade. The problem starts from post-modern considerations (Fredric Jameson, Jean Baudrillard, F. Lyotard etc.) Useful to understand the work of art in its essence and to access the cultural paradigms that philosophy arises. Money does not belong to us, it is a convention between banks and states, which gives value to the replaceable paper currency as an object of exchange, convertible into values and gains. Western economic precariousness is the victim of a vicious circle and a market that cannot interrupt the chain generated by supply / demand.
