The Cure
by Leonardo Pierro

The theme of "pharmacology" intends to propose a simple pictorial language: subjects painted in oil on wood, of modest proportions, in a medieval style, a link between past heritage and contemporary relativism. Despite its essential composition, the painting is rich in diachronic references that deal with the history of art, some examples: the aesthetic references of Morandi's work and neoplasticism seen in a Pop key (surprising and curious metaphysical); the recovery of an artisan dimension, paintings that show work in a dimension detached from the contemporary frenzy; the compositional style pays homage to many contemporary authors.
