FULL POINT Installation
by Leonardo Pierro
Full point is a work strongly inspired by the philosophy of the Fluxus group, based on the experimentation of artistic practice. The work is similar to the example of John Cage's suites which do not follow a linear evolutionary path: on the contrary, it moves backwards, welcoming every type of stimulus and then assimilating its secrets and imitating it. The poetics of the irrational envisaged a planned beginning based on musical scores, on artistic performance, on the process of unconscious creation of the final product.
In this case, the typewriter marks time by translating thoughts into words, into cultural value. 'Logocentrism', represented by the boulder, is a metaphor for that form of communication privileged by Western culture (the transition from oral to written culture).
The installation entrusts the iconic message by placing it in the space-time dimension, generating instances around the essence of the work, an expression full of references to art criticism.
