DIG IT YOURSELF Installation
by Leonardo Pierro
InspiredThis installation is part of this philosophical abstract of Edgar Morin related to J. Baudrillard and his taught: Objects are like signs that make up the symbolic order in which we live. The object is no longer the hard core of a reality that cannot be reduced to man, but has become his object of consumption. The system of objects is that of goods at our disposal, but also that of a continuous seductive challenge to our own dominion over it.
“The subject is fragile, being able to do nothing but desire, while the object becomes strong precisely from the absence of desire”.
“The great and much-discussed problem of reality was taken up in its own way by Jean Baudrillard according to whom the world of industrial objects, technology, media and today the digital world creates a false reality which with its pervasive intrusiveness eventually becomes the only reality. With the diffusion and extension of the virtual, the maximum of unreality becomes the maximum of reality."
