BREATHLESS Installation

The health emergency caused by the Covid-19 pandemic has transferred the artistic practice from the physical to the digital dimension, the added value capable of bringing resolution and answers in an apparently futureless scenario. The enhancement of the digital dimension has been the only linking tool between art and neuroscience, between the creative process and the virtual world, between visual and tactile perception, between intangible scenarios and the eternal present. Breathless captures the feeling of incommunicability of a work that exists on an ideological level but is impossible to complete in the absence of interlocutors. If the artist's role is social, lowered into physical reality, constantly mediated by a dialogue, the absence of interconnections creates an oppressive bond represented by imaginary cages/limits (the living environment, comfortable but devoid of sociality, the megaphone , a useless tool in the absence of topics to narrate). The only way out of the impasse is a suffocated, silent scream, incommunicable except through signs and 'anxious objects'.
